The inner threads are 1/2-28. The exterior threads are 3/4-16. I imagine they are designed to fit an oil filter for some back woods suppressor rig or something.

i bought 4 – i don’t know why; but i’d recommend everyone should buy at least 2.
at 3 ish bucks each it’s silly not to have a couple – just in case.

Off topic thought: i bought a complete upper in 223 wylde at the harrisburg show a year or so ago – great deal – good shooter. I’m actually very pleasantly surprised at the fit & finish of it. The handguard is really nicely done. 5 stars on that. I’ll probably pick up another if they’re there again.
