Disclosure: Handguards will be either keymod or mlok depending on availability. This build kit will come with everything EXCEPT the stripped lower receiver to build a 5″ AR-15.
This kit includes:
- 5″ 7.62×39 Barrel (twist may vary)
- 4″ Handguard (depending on availability)
- A2 5/8″x24 Flash Hider
- Pistol Buffer Kit
- 7.62X39 Black Nitride BCG
- Either Stripped or Upgraded Billet Upper Receiver (depending on availability)
- Forward Assist (where applicable)
- Dust Cover
- Steel .750 Gas Block
- Stainless Micro Gas Tube
- Standard Charging Handle
- Complete Lower Parts Kit

Once again durkin provides a quality build kit at an affordable price. Assembling the 5″ barrel 7.62×39 pistol kit is a breeze,and about the only way it could any easier is watching someone else assemble it for you free of charge- but that would take all the fun outta DIY. One might want to consider upgrading flash suppressor/ muzzle brake add-ons cuz there is one helluva fire show when a round leaves the barrel. And WEAR hearing protection as this one (as with most AR platform pistols) is a LOUD mofo. A few friends – and neighbors- and i agree that this round coming out the 5 inch barrel sounds almost twice as loud as a .223…….but since when is loud not part of enjoying your build?
